A cash‑heavy, tactical gold hedge: 50% in a 3× gold note when gold is deeply oversold; otherwise 75% cash and a 25% gold sleeve—leveraged if the short‑term trend is up, plain GLD if not.

It uses gold plus cash. - GLD tracks gold’s price. - SHNY tries to move about 3× gold daily (higher risk). Signals on GLD (10‑day): 1) If RSI—a 0–100 gauge of recent weakness/strength—is <30 (“oversold”): hold 50% SHNY and 50% cash. 2) Otherwise: hold 75% cash and 25% gold; use SHNY if price is higher than 10 days ago, else use GLD.

Out-of-sample edge: ~32% annualized return vs ~18% for the S&P, beta ~0.31, Calmar ~0.55. Higher drawdown (~58%) but with strong upside via cash overlay and gold exposure—potentially better risk-adjusted gains than the S&P.
