The Interactive Advisors FTSE Russell Index Tracking Portfolios are designed to follow certain predefined rules so that the portfolio can track a specified basket of underlying investments, which corresponds to the reference index. These portfolios aim to track the performance of the underlying basket (index), and typically represent a form of passive investing. Interactive Advisors constructs and manages these portfolios based on data provided pursuant to licensing agreements with FTSE International Limited ("FTSE") and the Frank Russell Company ("Russell"). The goal of these portfolios is to allow investors to track the performance of certain specified portions of the US Stock market as represented by the reference index.
Capital growth plus with a more complex portfolio or higher risk profile than broad equity markets. Investing in equities and concentrated portfolios and prepared to accept fluctuation in portfolio value.
Income-growth seekers: Designed for investors who want more than just current income. This portfolio focuses on companies that have consistently grown their dividends, aiming to build a rising stream of potential income over time. Index-focused investors: Well-suited for those who prefer a systematic, rules-based approach to investing. The portfolio tracks the Russell 1000® Dividend Growth Index, providing a transparent and repeatable process grounded in clear index criteria rather than subjective judgment. Stability-minded investors: Built for those who favor established, large-cap U.S. companies with strong financial track records and a proven ability to sustain and grow their dividend payments.
Allocation discipline: The portfolio identifies companies within the Russell 1000® Index that have successfully increased their dividend payments over a ten-year period. Each candidate is screened for adequate trading volume and active dividend status before being selected and equally weighted across the portfolio. To promote broad diversification, no single sector may exceed 30% of the total allocation. The portfolio rebalances quarterly to stay aligned with the underlying index. Sell discipline: Sell decisions follow a structured process tied to the quarterly rebalance and reconstitution of the Russell 1000® Dividend Growth Index. When a company no longer meets the index criteria during a scheduled review, it is removed from the portfolio. This approach eliminates emotional decision-making and keeps holdings consistently aligned with the benchmark.
Direct asset control: You own the actual underlying stocks rather than shares in a fund, giving you full transparency into every holding in your portfolio. Proven dividend discipline: The portfolio targets companies with at least ten consecutive years of dividend increases, focusing on businesses with a demonstrated commitment to returning value to shareholders. Built-in diversification safeguards: An equal-weight approach and a 30% cap on any single sector help spread your investment across a broad range of industries, reducing the risk of overconcentration in any one area.
