The Russell 1000 Energy portfolio offers direct ownership of energy-sector stocks selected from the Russell 1000® Index. Instead of buying into a fund, this direct indexing approach means you hold the actual shares of companies involved in exploring, producing, and distributing energy resources such as oil, natural gas, and coal. These holdings span large-cap and mid-cap businesses that serve as essential building blocks of the U.S. energy landscape. Guided by a disciplined process tied to a well-known benchmark, the portfolio provides focused access to one of the market's most established sectors in a straightforward, transparent way.

The Interactive Advisors FTSE Russell Index Tracking Portfolios are designed to follow certain predefined rules so that the portfolio can track a specified basket of underlying investments, which corresponds to the reference index. These portfolios aim to track the performance of the underlying basket (index), and typically represent a form of passive investing. Interactive Advisors constructs and manages these portfolios based on data provided pursuant to licensing agreements with FTSE International Limited ("FTSE") and the Frank Russell Company ("Russell"). The goal of these portfolios is to allow investors to track the performance of certain specified portions of the US Stock market as represented by the reference index.
Aggressive capital growth with significantly higher risk than broad equity market. Investing in equities and concentrated portfolios and prepared to take substantial risk to achieve investment goals.
Energy sector enthusiasts: Built for investors seeking dedicated exposure to the energy industry through a portfolio of established companies that drive U.S. oil, gas, and resource production. Passive strategy advocates: Ideal for those who prefer a hands-off, index-tracking approach over active stock selection, letting a recognized benchmark guide all investment decisions. Transparency-focused investors: Suited for investors who want to see every stock they own. Direct indexing replaces the bundled structure of a traditional fund with clear, individual holdings.
Allocation discipline: This portfolio holds long positions exclusively in U.S. energy equities that belong to the Russell 1000® Index. Allocations are updated on a quarterly schedule to stay aligned with the reference index, helping maintain consistent and proportional exposure across the energy sector. Exceptions: Outside of the scheduled quarterly rebalance and annual reconstitution of the Russell 1000® Energy Index, the portfolio does not make discretionary sell decisions. All additions and removals are determined solely by updates to the index as provided by the Frank Russell Company under a licensing agreement.
Direct asset control: Because you own each stock individually rather than through a pooled vehicle, you gain full visibility into every position and greater flexibility over your investment decisions. Focused energy sector access: The portfolio concentrates on established energy companies within the Russell 1000® Index, covering key players involved in fossil fuel exploration, production, and distribution. Systematic, rules-based discipline: A clearly defined index methodology governs all portfolio changes on a quarterly cycle, removing emotional decision-making and keeping holdings consistently aligned with the benchmark.
