The Russell 1000 Real Estate portfolio gives you direct ownership of U.S. property-focused companies selected from the Russell 1000® Index. Rather than buying a fund, you hold the actual stocks that make up the real estate segment of the benchmark, an approach known as direct indexing. This structure covers both large- and mid-cap companies spanning property ownership, development, and management, providing broad access to the domestic real estate sector. A systematic process guides how the portfolio is built and maintained to closely reflect the reference index.

The Interactive Advisors FTSE Russell Index Tracking Portfolios are designed to follow certain predefined rules so that the portfolio can track a specified basket of underlying investments, which corresponds to the reference index. These portfolios aim to track the performance of the underlying basket (index), and typically represent a form of passive investing. Interactive Advisors constructs and manages these portfolios based on data provided pursuant to licensing agreements with FTSE International Limited ("FTSE") and the Frank Russell Company ("Russell"). The goal of these portfolios is to allow investors to track the performance of certain specified portions of the US Stock market as represented by the reference index.
Capital growth plus with a more complex portfolio or higher risk profile than broad equity markets. Investing in equities and concentrated portfolios and prepared to accept fluctuation in portfolio value.
Sector enthusiasts: Built for investors who want dedicated exposure to the U.S. real estate market through established, publicly traded companies rather than purchasing physical property. Index-focused investors: Ideal for those who prefer a passive, systematic approach that tracks a recognized benchmark, delivering predictable methodology and consistent sector alignment. Portfolio builders: A strong fit for investors looking to add targeted real estate allocation alongside other holdings. Owning individual stocks rather than fund shares provides added flexibility when managing a broader, diversified portfolio.
Allocation discipline: The portfolio holds long positions in U.S. real estate equities from the Russell 1000® Index. Allocations are reviewed and adjusted quarterly to stay aligned with the reference index, helping ensure holdings consistently reflect the current composition of the real estate sector. Sell discipline: Sell decisions follow a structured process tied to the quarterly rebalance and reconstitution of the Russell 1000® Real Estate Index. When a stock is removed from the index or its weighting changes during reconstitution, the portfolio adjusts accordingly based on data provided by the Frank Russell Company under a licensing agreement.
Direct asset control: Because you own each real estate stock individually, you can see exactly what is in your portfolio at all times. This level of visibility goes beyond what a traditional fund structure typically offers. Targeted real estate exposure: The portfolio zeroes in on property-related companies within the Russell 1000® Index, giving you focused access to businesses that acquire, develop, and operate real estate across the domestic market. Rules-based discipline: A systematic rebalancing schedule aligned with the Russell 1000® Real Estate Index removes emotional decision-making and keeps your holdings consistently in step with the broader real estate sector.
