In practice this always holds 100% TQQQ (a 3× Nasdaq‑100 fund). It tries to favor strong, low‑drawdown choices, but with only one option the filters do nothing. Extremely concentrated and high risk.

The text the rules are quoted from, with where it came from.
It starts with one fund: TQQQ, a fund that tries to move about 3× the daily change of the Nasdaq‑100 (big tech). It ranks choices by recent average gains (20 days), total gains (10 days), then keeps the one with the smallest recent worst drop (50 days). Because there’s only one choice, it always picks TQQQ. It rebalances daily and puts 100% in it. Expect very large swings.
In practice this always holds 100% TQQQ (a 3× Nasdaq‑100 fund). It tries to favor strong, low‑drawdown choices, but with only one option the filters do nothing. Extremely concentrated and high risk.
3x-levered tech-momentum: out-of-sample annualized return ~47.5% vs S&P ~17.4%, but with larger drawdowns ~57% vs ~19%. Ideal for risk-tolerant investors seeking outsized upside; Calmar ≈ 0.84.
