The text the rules are quoted from, with where it came from.
Each day it looks back ~1 month and compares two broad stock funds: - SPY = large U.S. stocks (e.g., Apple, Microsoft) - IPAC = developed Asia‑Pacific stocks (mainly Japan, Australia) It puts 100% into whichever did better over that period, then checks again the next day. Expect more trades and some currency exposure in IPAC.
Daily switches between U.S. stocks (SPY) and developed Asia‑Pacific stocks (IPAC) by picking the one with the better last‑30‑day return. All‑in on the winner; rechecked every day.
Two-asset momentum (SPY vs IPAC) shows superior out-of-sample results: Sharpe ~1.25 vs 1.04, annualized return ~21.27% vs 17.19%, max drawdown ~13.77% vs 18.76%, Calmar ~1.54. Higher risk-adjusted growth with better downside control.
