The Interactive Advisors FTSE Russell Index Tracking Portfolios are designed to follow certain predefined rules so that the portfolio can track a specified basket of underlying investments, which corresponds to the reference index. These portfolios aim to track the performance of the underlying basket (index), and typically represent a form of passive investing. Interactive Advisors constructs and manages these portfolios based on data provided pursuant to licensing agreements with FTSE International Limited ("FTSE") and the Frank Russell Company ("Russell"). The goal of these portfolios is to allow investors to track the performance of certain specified portions of the US Stock market as represented by the reference index.
Capital growth plus with a more complex portfolio or higher risk profile than broad equity markets. Investing in equities and concentrated portfolios and prepared to accept fluctuation in portfolio value.
Index-focused investors: If you prefer a passive, low-maintenance approach that aims to mirror the broad large-cap U.S. market rather than trying to outperform it, this portfolio aligns with your goals by tracking the Russell Top 200® Index through individual stock positions. Stability seekers: Investors who favor large-capitalization companies for their relative stability and established market presence will find this portfolio well suited to their preference for steadier performance compared to smaller-cap strategies. Transparency-driven investors: If knowing exactly what you own matters to you, this direct indexing structure lets you view every stock in your account, offering a level of visibility and control that traditional index funds do not provide.
Allocation discipline: The portfolio targets 200 long positions, with each stock weighted by market capitalization in line with the Russell Top 200® Index. Larger companies naturally receive a greater share of the portfolio, reflecting their relative size in the market. The result is a diversified allocation across the most prominent segments of the U.S. equity landscape. Sell discipline: Sell decisions follow a structured discipline tied directly to the quarterly rebalance and annual reconstitution of the Russell Top 200® Index. When a company no longer meets the index criteria set by the Frank Russell Company, it is removed from the portfolio. This approach eliminates subjective judgment from exit decisions and keeps holdings closely aligned with the benchmark.
Personal stock ownership: Rather than buying into a fund, you hold a broad selection of the most significant U.S. large-cap stocks individually. This means you can see every position in your account at any time, giving you complete clarity over what you own. Disciplined index methodology: The portfolio follows the Russell Top 200® Index, which selects and weights companies according to predefined criteria. This systematic approach removes emotional decision-making and delivers consistent exposure to large-cap market performance. Blue-chip market access: By targeting the largest companies in the Russell 3000 Index, this portfolio concentrates on America's most prominent and widely recognized businesses, the core drivers of the U.S. equity market.
